The model home problem
A model home is open at weekends and invisible the rest of the time. It sits inside a development that is often not on the map yet, down a road with no reason to turn off it.
Every other marketing channel reaches people who are already looking for a house. The blimp reaches the person driving past on Saturday who did not know a community was there.
That is a narrow, specific job, and it is why builders keep buying them rather than trying them once.
The weekend routine
Up Saturday morning, down Sunday evening. After the first inflation it is about ten minutes and one person, which a sales agent can do before opening.
That number is the whole reason it survives contact with reality. If it were a forty-minute two-person job it would stop happening by the third weekend.
Helium loss is about one percent a day, so a weekend costs you nothing in gas worth counting. You top off every three to seven flying days.
One per community, and the arithmetic improves
Builders rarely need one. They need one per community, and the cost of learning the routine is paid once across all of them.
A 13-foot blimp is $975 blank, $537 for lettering, so $1,512 with your community or brand name on both sides. For a development selling houses at several hundred thousand dollars each, that is not a line anybody argues about.
